Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (Wheelchair Accessible)
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team!

In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for clients requiring assistance, particularly those who use wheelchairs, to their medical appointments, dialysis centers, and other healthcare facilities.

•⁠ ⁠Safe and Courteous Transportation:
* Drive a company-provided wheelchair-accessible vehicle to pick up and transport clients to their scheduled appointments on time and efficiently.
* Ensure a smooth and comfortable ride for clients, practicing defensive driving techniques and adhering to all traffic laws.
* Assist clients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, using a ramp, lift, or other mobility aids as needed.
* Secure wheelchairs and other medical equipment safely within the vehicle.

Client Care and Communication:
* Provide courteous and professional service to clients, ensuring a positive and respectful experience.
* Effectively communicate with clients, understanding their needs and offering assistance as required.
* Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
•⁠ ⁠Vehicle Maintenance and Upkeep:
* Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for any mechanical issues, cleanliness, and functionality of accessibility features.
* Report any maintenance concerns promptly to ensure the vehicle remains safe and reliable.
* Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the vehicle interior after each transport.

Adherence to Regulations:
* Comply with all NEMT regulations and company policies for patient care and safety.
* Maintain accurate documentation of trips, including mileage, client information, and appointment details.

•⁠ ⁠Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (typically for at least 3 years)
•⁠ ⁠Ability to operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, such as a van with a ramp or lift
•⁠ ⁠Strong physical fitness and stamina to safely assist clients with mobility needs
•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare personnel
•⁠ ⁠Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide a positive experience for clients
•⁠ ⁠Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
•⁠ ⁠Clean background check

Additional Skills (Preferred):
•⁠ ⁠First Aid and CPR certification
•⁠ ⁠Experience working with individuals with disabilities

•⁠ ⁠Salary: $20 – $22 / hour
•⁠ ⁠Stable work schedule (may involve full-time, part-time, or on-call positions)
